How do you change a radiator?

I am removing my old radiator from my bathroom and replacing it with a heated towel rail. But i don't have a clue how to take the old one out without hot water leaking everywhere some help please? How do you change a radiator?
If the new rad is not exactly the same size, you will need to drain the whole system and do some serious plumbing to connect up the pipework to the new valves. If it is exactly the same size, you can disconnect the old rad. Turn off both valves (anti-clockwise). Put receptacles and old towels underneath the valves. Carefully unscrew the nuts on either side of the rad. Make a note of the number of turns required to close the return valve. Water will start to drain out (probably very dirty water). Once it has drained away you should be able to lift the rad off its bracket and fit the new rad reversing the above procedure (wrap PTFE tape around the threads). How do you change a radiator?

Just a guess here. Turn off the water source. Have buckets at the ready. There is a valve where you can drain them. It may require a special key. I am sure Home Depot or the like has them. Also, check Howdini.com. I found some great videos on all types of things. How do you change a radiator?
You need 2 people.

At each end are adjustable valves. Close them.

Put old towels, rags etc under radiator - you are probably going to get black (will stain a carpet) water out!

Also towels, old clothes in front of radiator for when you turn upside down, leaking water.

Wait until the radiator is cold.

Undo the nuts that go onto the radiator, they will start to weep water.

One person each end, lift the radiator up (putting your thumb over the radiator outlet hole as you lift to stop all the water coming out) and off the wall bracket.

Quickly turn the radiator upside down so all the water doesn't drain out.

Put PTFE tape around the threads of the new radiator before fitting (to stop leaks), tighten nuts, turn-on radiator with top bleed hole open. When the air stops bleeding and water comes out tighten the bleed nut!How do you change a radiator?
Luludood said it all. That is presuming the replacement item is the same size as the rad and has the same sorts of fittings.
