My indica gets heated very frequently method to start radiator fan before heat needle reaches middle of gauge

Have got radiator cleaned got adjusted the fip changed battery.

The radiator fan starts working only after needle showing temperature crosses middle point and some times it crosses 3/4 mark.Kindly suggest how to start radiator fan when heat needle reaches 1/4 mark of temp gauge. My indica gets heated very frequently method to start radiator fan before heat needle reaches middle of gauge
Cars are designed to run around 190 degrees Fahrenheit, which is usually the middle of the indicator gauge that you are talking about. It is normal for the needle to sit right at, or just above, the center of the gauge. The electric cooling fan is activated by a temperature sensor that monitors the coolant temperature and should turn the fan on at the point when the needle is a little above the middle mark of the gauge. The reason for turning on then is that the thermostat that regulates the flow of coolant to the radiator is open fully, the engine is at the prime operating temperature and the hot coolant is flowing through the radiator. The fan turns on only to maintain the temperature from getting too hot, but turns off so that it doesn't fall too low.

Turning on the fan before the engine is up to temperature would do little as there would probably not be any coolant flowing through the radiator to be cooled until the thermostat opened up.

However, if the gauge is getting 3/4 of the way up the gauge before it activates, you may want to replace the temperature sensor that controls the cooling fan. Also make sure that you have the proper amount of coolant in your system as too little will create air pockets that could accumulate around the sensor and give it a false reading. Your thermostat could also be suspect by it not opening when it should, or maybe not all the way, and not allowing the coolant to the radiator when it should causing the higher than normal reading.

You maybe should have a mechanic do some diagnostic testing on it for you to verify that everything is working correctly and to help identify any problems.

Best of luck.
